I have been longing to triplex a job for some time, so when it came time to print the Love Press business cards, my chance finally arose.

Triplexing is a finishing process whereby a sheet of paper, usually of a different colour and grain direction, is glued between the front and back of the printed job. The sandwiched sheets are then fused together under pressure in our antique bookpress. When trimmed, the result is a striking liquorice all sorts effect that never fails to impress.

The job is printed as sheet work. Front and back printed printed separately 1 spot colour on Gmund 300gsm 100% Cotton. The centre sheet is Spicers 330gsm Stephen Dirty Brown –(you are a dirty boy Stephen…dirty dirty) triplexed between.
