MA: Illustrated book and exhibition:
My MA study 'Leaving Home: the Illustrated Fantasy Book as Crisis Heterotopia' is concerned with rites of passage and ritual space within illustrated fantasy narratives and worlds. For the practical component of my study I made a wordless illustrated book. The book consists of four wordless narratives that were developed from recorded dreams and from themes and motifs that emerged from the process work produced for the study. Below are images of each of the illustrations from the book, as well as from the exhibition which was held at Gallery 2 in Rosebank, Johannesburg from 13 March 2021-10 April 2021.
