In ancient Egyptian Civilization, the people of the desert wondered in search of livelihood under inhospitable conditions. Finally they found the river Nile. The waters of the great Nile offered crops and livestock. It was a blessing. However every year the river would flood and cause calamity as well. The people of the Nile believed this as an act of the supreme. The good and the evil forces led to the imagining of faith in duality. This arose the several Gods of Egypt. Of them supreme was Ra- the Sun God, the cradle of life energy. Thus was the Initiation of Ra. For several thousand of years and spanning many Dynasties till the Greco-Roman empire, Ra was a central figure for worship.
