This Skyscape Series is based on the original title tracks by the group WayV. I tried to capture the atmosphere of their songs and figure out how to translate that vibe into an illustration. This is how I imagine the sky to look like when I listen to their songs.
This one is based on the song "Take Off" from their mini-album "Take Off." After preparing for a launch, here the song depicts that actual move to lift off. The song has a vibe of enthusiastic optimism, that what you reach for will be a success. Therefore, I wanted to depict a scene where you soar above the clouds and head towards a clear and bright blue sky.
I created multiple versions: one featuring the title in English, the title in Chinese, and important lyrics.
