Laura Kasubova's profile

Biophilic Collaborative Office Space

I have designed The Chocolate Factory project within the principles of Biophilia and Biophilic design. I have called my concept ‘Reclaim’, and its meaning is to bring nature back to urban areas whilst bringing people back to nature. Biophilia is a deep-seated need of humans to connect with nature and biophilic design is the tool to do so. I believe that Biophilic design has many positive psychophysiological and cognitive benefits. The view of nature enhances creativity, and a good biophilic design can also enhance productivity and performance. Nonetheless, Biophilic design also provides clean air conditions, free of germs and bacteria, which can bring a solution on how to bring people safely back to work after the Covid-19 pandemic. At the same time, I am strictly focusing on sustainability as I believe that it is the designer's mission to turn things around and create a better future for many generations to come.
