After Babylon

AFTER BABYLON

is a data visualization project developed during the Density Design Course at Politecnico di Milano by
Sofia Girelli, Eleonora Grotto, Pietro Lodi, Daniele Lupatini and Emilio Patuzzo.

The purpose was to visualize a given dataset regarding world languages (data taken from WALS, furtherly improved with data about loanwords from WOLD).

The chosen path let us see what's the current linguistical situation of the world and how the most important languages influence themselves, in order to see what's going on right now.

*Work featured on Visualizing.org's Visualizing Highlights of December 2013
