I'm On TV!
For this project I was to create a minimum 10 second title sequence for a TV series of my choice. The title sequence must follow the style of which genre the series belongs and use footage that I have taken myself. I am also to create a promo ‘“hero” banner for a VOD platform that would promote the launch of series.
Concept
For my concept I want to create an intro that would fit and be recognized as the series Euphoria. Considering that the series does not have an into, I will have to use some elements and features that are in the series. I do have the freedom to make it how I want it but keep to the features of the series to make it noticeable. It is an HBO series however I will adapt it to a Netflix series.

My idea is to have a new cast that have similar features as the original cast as I am to use my own footage. I would try and recreate some scenes from the series and have my cast recreate them. Because I can’t recreate the entire cast I would think to have only the main characters.

Euphoria already has an age restriction for the series, ages 18 on up because the use of nudity, drugs and sex. My into would have some clips of drug use and possibly some nudity. Thus the targeted audience would be the same 18 on up. I would like to target the viewers that already have seen the series and also new views that haven’t seen it and would get interested from seeing my intro.

Some important features that I need to apply to my intro are: the camera angles, lighting and the aesthetic. It is the aesthetic and the camera angles would be what I would really focus on the most because that is what made the series so rememberable as well as winning awards.

I would like the title sequence to show what the series has to show but doesn’t give away the plot.
"Hero Banner" Process
I inspected the coding of the hero banner to see the sizing of elements as well as the spacing between then if it was provided. Looking in the coding also helped with the font choice color and if luck where they got some of the elements. I was then able to make the grid and start applying my own elements for the banner.
Netflix "Hero" Banner
I adapted my series to Netflix also because the hero banner for Netflix is more “lively” than the HBO hero banners.
I took the photo on a white background. That made it easier to edit the photo in Adobe Lightroom to this blue tone. I added on the sides a faint black shadow. That then focused the light on the character. I dimmed the expose to make it a little darker .I wanted to give it that moonlight night aura. To add in a little more to the image I added in glitter tears to her eyes and on top a pinkish layer that really brought the image together.
Storyboard
Process
The song I chose was 'Mount Everest' by Labrinth. I listened to the entire song and would cut the parts that I thought would be perfect for the opening and would have good scenes to go with it.  The whole song is 2 minutes and 36 seconds. His song has a lot of breaks which really benefited me when wanting to cut it and add a different part after. My idea was to have a steady opening, an intense/climatic middle and a smooth slowdown end. I want the song to have the effect on the views that they don’t want to skip the intro because the song is well done and placed good with the video scenes. I cut it down to about 40 seconds and placed then to where you would not be able to hear the cuts and breaks in the song. I found the clips that I had from my storyboard and screen recorded them. I added them into Premier Pro, cut them, and arranged them into a way that they would match the song. The purple bars are different video clips, the green is the song. I lined up the scenes to the song to make it go well together. Using this method I was able to create almost another storyboard using real footage.
