Cisco Urban Innovation

In 2016, during Rio's Olympic Games, Cisco provided a massive connectivity infrastructure and IoT solutions for Porto Maravilha, one of the most prominent regions in Rio.

Our biggest challenge was to show the public that Cisco's platform could empower people through the use of data and technology, highlighting all its transformative power. 

Cisco's robust IoT Platform integrated infrastructure, data, services and experiences to create a smart and human city.
CREATIVE OUTPUT:
We created a collection of smart solutions, from apps to kiosks that used technology and data to empower the citizens, entertain and create emotional connections.

DURING THE OLYMPIC GAMES:
+ 40,000 people accessed the kiosks 
+ 30,000 photos shared. 
+ 4,600 points of interest consulted in the Port Guide 
+ 2,000 Apps downloads 

TOTAL RESULT ON SOCIAL NETWORKS: 
114,000 interactions, 
25 million people reach
51 million impressions. 

TOTAL UPTAKE OF CITY DATA THROUGH THE PLATFORM: 10 MILLION.
