Haiyan

I was browsing through my old photos when I came across this, one of my earlier shots. The only details I'll give away about the original photo is that it was shot seaside, on a windy day with rough waves.
I think it'd be a fitting poignant tribute in a way to the victims, the survivors, and everyone involved in the relief efforts, as I would never be able to get to the disaster area now and take photos there for various obvious reasons. It'd be a bit unnecessary and a selfish to do just that actually, to go there and just take pictures without any journalistic intent, when there are other ways I can do to help out.
The situation is far from being resolved as of posting this, and aid keeps pouring in. There are still families going hungry, dead bodies still unburied, places still isolated. The death toll is far from being a final figure.
I hope the lessons from this disaster will never be forgotten by the world, as there are certainly many to be learned from this.

May my fellow countymen recover from the horror that is Typhoon Haiyan.
