Online workshop by Sergiy Maidukov

Kyiv in quarantine.

Based on the covers of The New Yorker and The Parisianer.

Illustrations i made this spring in the middle of quarantine on Sergiy Maidukov workshop. From all the ideas i proposed, he chose this one. It is about the fact that, despite the temporary restrictions on movement, people still rushed to street so zealously, that there were queues to leave their homes. You can watch the very first sketches and drafts, and work in progress.

It was a complete surprise when wonderful Indposhiv Bespoke House offered to print a series of pictures about the quarantine on their great pocket scarf. I love how this scarf looks with my bag. And it will also look great in the front pocket of your gentleman’s suit.

And then it becomes a part of exhibition in Veterano Brownie Cafe. 

What a nice and long life of this one illustration!
