A little fun comic illustration for the German life science magazine Laborjournal.
The illustration was part of a series, that is called "keyword of the month". The keyword was original antigenic sin, a propensity of the body's immune system to preferentially utilize immunological memory based on a previous infection when a second slightly different version of that foreign pathogen is encountered.
