Salomi and Alex love each other very much but due to the COVID Pandemic, they faced some loss in the business and they have no money for getting Christmas gifts for one another. But Salomi decides to make a sacrifice that will give her enough money to buy the present Alex deserves, set in the small island village of Kumbalangi, Kerala, a story of love and sacrifice.
This is a new, free hand illustrated interpretation of the well-loved, poignant short story is a modern adaptation of the story "The Gift Of Magi" by O. Henry.
The character styles and colours were decided visualising a bright colour palette in mind, the story is set in India so i wanted to show a bright visual combination of colours, also I tried my best to keep the character style in Indian colour tone.
