Ministry Of Sound D&AD
This is a D&AD brief that i was assigned at uni, the aim of the brief was to create three A2 posters that were unique in design and led away from the well known, iconic ministry of sound designs. The poster designs had to work as a set, so when displayed the pieces flow seamlessly together. As we're working in groups to complete this assignment, myself and Hollie Robinson created the following set of posters using illustrator and photography.
In order to create these set of posters, i started by folding paper into origami fortune tellers, each bit of paper contained a different image of space or a galaxy, these included a variety of colours ranging from red, blue to yellow.
i then laid all the fortune tellers out onto a flat piece of card, and arranged them in an order that would create perspective once they were laid out i photographed the piece.
From the collection of photographs, i chose the highest quality images, and edited them in Photoshop, the effects used creates texture and depth within the piece, also the overlays and colour edits have made it less recognisable as pieces of paper and created more a graphical feel.
