In a digital painting class in Domestika I learned a process from Illustrator, Patricio Betteo for digital painting. I tried to capture the idea of tango dancing with my grief.... a memory of a partner, the loss of a partner, the emptiness, loneliness... and then finding that need for connection within oneself. And embracing the benefits of movement again in a new construct as an act of self love, of healing and embracing emotion. My goal was to use the brushwork in a way to make it look as similar to oil or acrylic painting as possible.
