About Company: Micromax is one of India's well-known smartphone and electronics brands that has survived the smartphone market rush and has put itself in a good standing position amongst some of the biggest smartphone brands such as Samsung, Apple, Xiaomi, Oppo, etc.

Problem: One of the main concerns was, although the brand establishment is great, what lacked was a clear design system that revolves around the company.
The current Logo of Micromax is designed funky, the fonts are playful and the logo itself seems young with a visual of a fancy punching hand, which isn't bad since that's what the logo's concept is- a punch on competitor's face.

Targeting a phone toward a younger audience is great, but a whole brand whose target audience is young and youth drives the senior customers away. Leaving smartphones out of it, Micromax also sells Televisions, ACs, and Washing machines, as these products are not really youth materials but rather for people who are at least married or are in their thirties. Hence, a brand with all these products needed a brand identity system that worked well with both young and elder audiences.

Solution: Keeping in mind the brand's initial concept of 'Punch on Face of The Competitors' as it is, The logo is updated geometrically, and developed a brand identity with a serious yet fun design style that shows the brand's image more mature, symbolizing the brand as experimental not just for fun, but for the betterment for the lives of their user.

Micromax currently uses stock android UI which does not really soothe a user's eye, as compared to that of Apple's IOS, Samsung's OneUI, Oneplus' OxygenOS or Xiaomi's MIUI. Hence introducing MaxOS, an android system UI specially created for Micromax.
