Another Point of View

Another Point of View – a photography exhibition
Another Point of View – a photography exhibition is my graduation project for my Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design & Art Direction at NABA in Milan.

Another Point of View was born by chance one day in 2017, when I noticed the amount of photos of everyday scenes
that I had on my phone. I suddenly realized that all the photos had a common thread that bound them: they were all details of urban spaces that created compositions, reflections, overlaps and shadows.
So I started to collect them by opening an Instagram account (@another.pointofweiv). My desire was to share my point of view with a photographic documentation of the beauty of the ordinary life, through a careful reading of the urban landscape.

To present my photographs I decided to recreate the context of a photographic exhibition and work on the communication of it. I also imagined a possibile venue that will be consistent with my stile, in this case my choice was Marsèll Paradise, which is a concept store based in Milan that has a basement where they usually hold unusual exhibitions. For what concern the editorial part I came up with two billboards in scale 1:2, a paper invitation, a leaflet and the exhibition catalogue. Meanwhile for the online part I proposed a newsletter and contents for IG.

0. BILLBOARDS
I created two different billboards: the first one is meant to give information while the second one is intended to be intriguing and to arise interest among the viewers.

1. INVITATION
Printed on both side, the invitation provides information about when and where the exhibition will be held.

2. LEAFLET
The leaflet acts as an introduction to the exhibition by explaining the vision and poetics of Another Point of View.
Printed on both sides and folded four times it is pocketable. More over once it is opened it becomes a poster.

3. CATALOGUE
The catalogue contains all the photos that are shown within the exhibition. In my opinion it's the most important work of the whole project, because, thanks to it, the photos are enhanced. It helps the reader to perceive the poetic behind it while respecting the chromaticity of the original work.
