Synesthesia Music-Color
Art installation in collaboration with Lisa de León
This installation was made based on the Synesthesia Music-Color topic. The purpose of this was to try to recreate the sensation of Synesthesia in people that it is not. This was made with the ambientation of three empty rooms that had a light displayed of a certain color with a music piece that was created through the study of frequencies and tone color.
for the installation, the chord Gsus4+5 was used, which includes the music notes of G, C and D# with the combination of the RGB colors. At the moment of the installation, people was instructed to enter the rooms alone and one at a time. This would cause for people to had a deeper connection with their visual and audition senses beyond the stimulation.
Esta instalación se hizo bajo el tema de la Sinestesia Músico - Color. Lo que se buscó con la instalación fue recrear la sensación de la sinestesia en personas no sinestésicas. Esto se hizo ambientando tres cuartos vacíos con una luz y una pieza sonora creada en base al estudio de la frecuencia y el tono de los colores escogidos. Se usó el acorde de Gsus4+5 que tiene las notas de sol, do y re# y los colores luz RGB que son rojo, verde y azul. Al momento del recorrido, se hizo que las personas entraran una por una a cada cuarto y se conectaran con sus sentidos visuales y auditivos dejando a un lado estímulos exteriores, haciendo que vivieran una experiencia totalmente sensorial.
