A pop up experience for Shiseido Travel Retail in Changi Jewel Singapore













Initial research 

into Shiseido as a brand led is towards the direction of "inner light" where we explored light as a material in the context of a tangible experience.

















Our Concept

'Illuminate' - Beauty from the soul












3 zones were developed to display the brand.





Zone 1 

was designed to pique the curiosity of passerby's, through subtle changes in displayed historical posters, aligning with the company vision.













Material : Light

Through a the study of light reflection and refraction, the core message of "Illuminate" was delivered via a stunning interactive exhibit, designed to entice patrons to develop personally experienced "Instagram Stories" content.














Zone 3 

was developed to showcase Shiseido's flagship Ultimune product line, with a "live review" display panel, showcasing existing reviews of 4 stars and above. giving the brand a touch of realness.






Interaction : Light, Plants, Komorebi

By placing faux plants within translucent frosted acrylic we not only reflect nature, but have designed a window to the displays in the font, permeating and amalgamating the space into one single unit.

The lights within these displays are presence activated, subtly shifting in intensity, allowing The Komorebi effect, "the shifting of light through trees" calming patrons and easing them out from the experience.
