DREAMS & REALITY, TRANSCEDENTAL & MATERIAL
Two of my friends are academic musicians. Mladen is a pianist and Ivana plays flute. They needed A3 poster, A5 programme leaflet and FB post designed for their concert which has been held in Split, Croatia. Concert and a lecture named "Dreams and reality, transcendental and material" were part of the Festival of Science, held in May, 2021.
Because of the event's title and the player's instrumental difference, I wanted to visually equalize their musical roles. The inspiration came from the fact that in interpretation of the classical compositions, piano is sometimes louder and more dominant, in some cases it's just backing up the flute and sometimes their roles are equal. These are the reasons why I presented piano and flute as opposite to each other. They are completely different instruments with different roles, but together they make the composition as a hole piece.
