    HAMBURGCALL: CULTURAL HOUSING

   International architecture competition
The building has an elaborate structure and positioning with respect to the neighboring centers and traffic on the road, components to be considered because the complex will have to accommodate not only the inhabitants of the accommodation but also those who will use the common public areas. The events that will be organized in the central square can then continue inside where commercial galleries and shops will be available to the entire neighborhood. The choice of giving the facades the white color allows the building to stand out from the context without altering its identity, a choice of contemporaneity as opposed to the construction tradition of red brick buildings. The rigorous lines of the volume will compose a minimalist architecture that wants to pay homage to the Bauhaus that characterized German architecture of the last century. The glass base of the building highlights the horizontal development of the project which is contrasted by a search for verticality such as to place the complex as a reference on an urban scale. Common spaces on the floors connect the apartments, favoring interaction without however affecting the privacy necessary for the individual housing units.
