To give comfort and proper space to showcase their research projects, and also a proper condition to meet between researcher to have small banter over broken ceramic tiles and epoxy walkway is the main idea of Laboratorium Biomaterial Serat Alam Universitas Padjajaran, located in Jl. Japati, Bandung. Stainless steel covered table in the center act as an anchor point to the room and as a center activity piece, where the researcher can conduct their research close to the tools they know best. We liken the small round tables to an island respite for the researcher, after a hard day of work, a sip of preferred drink and discussion might help release their stress. Surrounding them is 2 meeting tables in different sizes, a group workspaces for those needing the extra support. Overall, this is a laboratory, it's just not the laboratory you've had in mind.
