Losing weight with junk food?

Losing weight with junk food?

Breakfast with brioches, cannoli, chocolate spreads rich in sugar ... Morning snack with mortadella or salami sandwich ...

Lunch with fried cutlet, mashed macaroni, rice salad with mayonnaise or rather mayonnaise with rice salad ...

Dinner with flatbread, fast food hamburger, french fries, pretzels ...
In order not to miss anything I would insert at least 2 aperitifs a week with Spritz and a buffet full of many beautiful crap ...

It would be nice to be able to eat like this every day and maybe even magically drop your body weight !?

But without magic and without so many restrictive diets, do you know that you can lose weight by really eating this way?

Attention, I have not gone crazy and it is clear I would not swallow any food of this type, nor am I here to advise you to do it!

I will explain better what I mean.

An American professor went on a diet for about 10 weeks, losing 12 kg.
Good cholesterol went up by 20% and bad cholesterol went down.
Triglycerides, i.e. fats, have improved by 40%.
But the most shocking thing is that in 10 weeks her fat mass has decreased by almost 9%!
I am telling you that this experiment was to feed only junk food and mostly sweets for these weeks.

But let's take a closer look at this experiment.

The professor reduced his basal metabolic rate from 2600 calories to 1800 calories per day which is definitely a noticeable calorie reduction.
Remember that the "calories in and calories out" formula always works:
in summary, the rule that to lose weight you have to reduce the calories ingested, even in this case it worked.

But be careful because it would be too good if it were possible to eat everything we want, reducing the calorie intake and finding ourselves with a perfect body.
Many, too many people dwell on the needle of the balance ignoring one thing that must count more: the supply of nutrients.

Junk food is overflowing with sugars and saturated fats; feeding in this way, any person over time will face the onset of diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
These junk foods lack the proteins that have a plastic function on the body and are used to build and maintain muscle tone.

Particular attention must also be paid to "micronutrients", ie vitamins and minerals that have no effect on weight loss: for this reason ask yourself why they are not so much promoted by the slimming food industry.
Vitamins and minerals over time have a crazy effect on good health and the deficiency of these can create thyroid dysfunction, headaches, physical fatigue, memory loss, anxiety, depression, alopecia, cramps, aged skin, etc.

Let's go back to the experiment in question: the professor aware of the importance of micronutrients, in the 10 weeks he constantly took vitamin and mineral supplements, filling any deficiencies with these!

Think about it: 1800 calories of junk food are poor quality foods and low in nutritional values compared to the same number of calories made up of healthy foods (meat, fish, eggs, vegetables, etc.).

The concept is not only to lose weight but also to build and maintain toned muscles and a state of complete well-being!

The moral of this article is that we can lose weight as much as we want and even with many poor quality foods, but without the micronutrients the body will ask us the price and the damage is often irreversible.

Do you want to lose weight?

Well, then this experiment teaches us that it is still important to reduce daily calories, but always with a correct and above all healthy diet!
Finally, let's not forget the “physical activity” factor: nutrition and movement must always travel hand in hand.
