Designing a kit (Secondary packaging unit) for emergency first aid medical care.
Axiostat is a bioactive haemostatic dressing. It works on a unique charge based mechanism of mucoadhesion which forms a mechanical barrier on the bleeding site. The case you see here is the secondary packaging designed to carry multiple Axiostas and additional medical dressings like 3M tape. The brief was to create a packaging that can be used outdoors during activities like adventure sports and hiking.
STRUCTURE DESIGN
Intuitive opening and handling are the primary focus of this concept. With sliding mechanism the product visibility and accessibility becomes easy. A single hand operated mechanism for emergency scenario.
The aesthetics is designed fusing two attributes ruggedness and minimalism.
BRAND NAME & IDENTITY DESIGN
Red symbolizes an emergency alert and RedAid as a brand name indicates that the product aids one in times of an emergency. It is also necessary that this reflects in the identity of the brand in ways that can easily resonate with the consumer.
