Industrial Design
Most toothbrushes on the market can’t be one hundred percent recycled - even when they claim they do - because the brush head contains metal staplers to keep the bristles attached, making it really difficult to be separated for the recycling process. As much as they are made from natural materials (i.e. bamboo or wood), they are likely to end up in landfills or are incinerated.

Sea Differently toothbrush was designed not only to keep one’s teeth clean and gums healthy, it does so for our ocean as well. The handle is made entirely from recycled ocean plastic and reusable, significantly reducing landfill wastes.

The design intention was to reimagine a mass consumer physical good to be much more than sustainable. By designing a circular business model, we effectively produces no waste: the handle and the brush heads have been thought to be used, reused and collected, so that the outputs of production also become the inputs.
