A Loss of Algorithmic Movements (2020)

A loss of algorithmic movements (2020)
Generative art + Painting
'Pigeon' from 'A Loss of Algorithmic Movements (2020)' painting series - Mixed media, 297 x 420mm
'Sparrow' from 'A Loss of Algorithmic Movements (2020)' painting series - Mixed media, 297 x 420mm
'Raven' from 'A Loss of Algorithmic Movements (2020)' painting series - Mixed media, 297 x 420mm
Each painting is made of different layers of acrylic painting and digital painting. Mainly created with acrylic paints, edited and finishing touch ups done digitally.

This work is derived from my generative work - ‘The Beauty of the Eaten Path (2020)’. I tracked my neighbourhood birds’ movements in this previous work, but when I found their dead bodies on the ground, I felt like their algorithms were interrupted.

By converting their end of movements into a painting, I tried to be immersed in natural phenomena that occurs around us. This is one of the most necessary actions for painters or designers because it gives us an opportunity to break away from human-focused thinkging and assimilate with the world around us.
