Collecting Sorrows | Exhibit Design

On a journey to collect people’s tears, an old man travels on boat across many different islands. A journey of a land filled with grief left over from conflicts. If all the grief we keep away accumulates, where does it go?

Based on the Movie, ‘The White Meadows’ directed by Mohammad Rasoulof

The spatial exhibit was designed on the theme journey as a design project at National Institute of Design. The exhibit which was intended for a physical production was further developed to evolve into a virtual experience during the covid-19 pandemic.

2.Souvenir

An object conceptualized as a representation or extension of the narrative that gives context to the world that the story is taking place at. The object further explores signs and connotations embedded in the story.
Visualization render of the souvenir
3. Spatial exhibit.

The exhibit was designed to create a multisensory experience that interprets the movie and uses the theme to translate the cinematic experience into a spatial expression (3m x 3m).
