Sandwichbar Du Nord is a well known lunch café in the city of Groningen. For a delicious fresh sandwich, a good cup of coffee or a healthy smoothie, this is the place to be. In 2019, the café underwent a major renovation, with a beautiful bar being built as an extension to the sandwich bar.
This made Du Nord more than just a sandwich bar. During the day, the fresh sandwiches, croissants, coffee and smoothies fly over the counter. In the evening, there's room for a relaxed drink. A new work environment requires a new workwear. Du Nord approached VIER Creative For a creative take on workwear, but not only that, VIER Creative Studio also provides branding, photography and social media related content and marketing.
The current logo has undergone a slight rebranding, where-as before there was only a yellow logo with a few lines. The new logo has a more colourful approach conform clients' wishes.
The color palette, kind of the same approach as the logo. The colour mint, black and white have been added to the branding.
As there wasn't any type of Typography for the old Du Nord brand to begin with, we've decided a good fresh typography called Gilroy would do. It's bold but very friendly, that together with the famous Bebas Neue makes a lovely base for brand-visualization.
The workwear has gotten quite the creative approach, Du Nord is more than just a lunch cafe. Du Nord is a place where people come together, even till late. Drinks, and fingerfood will be served and good music will be played throughout the evening. That gave us the idea to mix a croissant with a cocktail drink and swinging effects making it a piece of art on the back of the crew.
VIER also provides good photography to really do Du Nord justice. Wether we take photos of a sandwich, drink or a full blown party in the evening, we will make sure to create the best possible content that takes Du Nord to the next stage!
