As the epidemic continues spreading, it has become New Normal for people to have their body temperature measured in all public places. With this background, the design of temperature sensing creates an image of the post-epidemic era. We hope that in a moment of queuing, people can feel calm in the midst of the epidemic.

In the epidemic, thermometers have become a necessity at the entrance of various places. However, thermometers in department stores, art galleries, etc., are incompatible with the environment.
When measuring body temperature, people only need to know whether the body temperature is normal or not. We transform the presentation of body temperature, and only convey the most simple information to the user. Sound and light reflect the translated body temperature to create a new interaction for measuring body temperature.
In addition, in order to protect the privacy of personal body temperature, we separate the body temperature message into three parts. One part is the message that can only be known to the person being measured, another is the interactive display of translated temperature for people passing by, and the other is for administrators or guards. LUMI will automatically notify the administrator if over 37.5 degree is detected.

Through mirror reflection, the temperature information is hidden in a specific angle.
First, the user stops at LUMI for a second to wait for the detection. Then, follow light flows and go forward to the mirror. The lights will change from white to red or green when they arrive at the side. Only the user can see the light message by means of the protection of body temperature privacy.

Detectable Range
In order to be able to measure everyone, and to avoid measuring the body temperature of others, we designed the measuring range to accurately measure only the close people.
The Meaning of High Pitch and Low Pitch
In the case of normal body temperature, the higher the temperature is, the higher sound feedback you gets. However, in order to keep the privacy of people whose body temperature exceeds the standard, we hide the sound of body temperature over 37.5 degrees in the bass zone.
Special Angle Design
The temperature information can only be seen from the mirror in a special angle. Other people will not know the temperature of the person being measured.

LUMI will automatically record the body temperature measured throughout the day, and plays music converted from body temperature when the crowd is leaving.
| MATERIAL |
Maple wood is delicate, with interlocking grain, well-proportioned and coordinated color. It injects LUMI with a refreshing and elegant charm. The body temperature sensing device is adorned with walnut wood, making it prominent but sill be in harmony with maple wood. Changhong glass accentuates flow of light, giving LUMI a dynamic change compared to its peaceful image. Matte acrylic is placed on the back of LUMI, which reveals the vagueness of oriental aesthetics.
