As If I Remembered Something, Pt. I
[Spring, 2021]
Among Slumbering Giants

Recently, I finally left for a little trip, even if only for a day. I drove through the night and the farther I came, the better it felt. Probably the best and only time to begin at travel, maybe to drive at all in this country, is Sunday evening in my opinion. Only then there is a pretty good chance to be able to drive just as you want, no one bothering you anymore. Since this country is generally opting heavily for control and surveillance instead of a confession to freedom, it often seems more required to watch out for radar cameras than anything else. I enjoyed the car ride, and drove into a thunderstorm with heavy rainfalls as well. Finally, alone in the night including bad vision, it felt more like a video game than life itself. I arrived before midnight, and went into my sleeping bag, rain falling onto my car. It meant everything to me, and I had missed it so much. Around 5 am, I wandered into the forest, visiting this place once again. I had hoped and expected Spring to be farther this time of the year – as it was last year in my series 'The Secrets of Fangorn, Pt. IV' – but at this height it was still bare. Of course, I tried my best to find some worthy pictures anyway.
