El diablo entre las piernas es una próxima cinta mexicana, de drama y romance, dirigida por Arturo Ripstein (El evangelio de las maravillas) y escrita por su esposa Paz Alicia Garciadiego (El coronel no tiene quien le escriba), que narra la vida de Beatriz, una mujer mayor que parece haber realizado los principales deseos de su vida: formar una familia, ver a sus hijos realizar sus propias vidas y familias y un matrimonio feliz con su esposo. Sin embargo, con los años, el tiempo y la costumbre, su esposo ha empezado a desarrollar ciertas facetas que se caracterizan por agresiones verbales, insultos y humillaciones hacia ella. A pesar de que algunas viejas amigas le aconsejan dejarlo, Beatriz se resiste a la mera idea de pasar el resto de sus días sin él y acepta a vivir en esas condiciones por el cariño y la costumbre que tiene de su matrimonio.
