To be honest, this took a lot of coffee.
In the summer of 2013, Runner's World added a 'Women's Running' page to the site. One of my objectives was to populate this section of the site to increase advertising opportunities within the women's running industry. I conceived and proposed this project, "Runner-Tested Hairstyles," in order to contribute original content specific to the female web experience and give Runner's World a relevant and fresh voice across its social media presence.
For this project, I researched, designed, performed, modeled, and photographed hairstyles with an added an athletic twist for summer-month appeal. The design follows social media conventions within the Runner's World aesthetic, a mixture of clean, accessible, and athletic design.
I translated the project into social-media friendly dimensions and wrote the copy shown here for a slideshow featured on the Runner's World homepage.
