I had the wonderful opportunity to illustrate one of Ten posters commemorating ten of Nickelodeon’s star Creators and their iconic shows. The poster series includes tributes to: Steven Hillenburg (Spongebob Squarepants), John A. Davis (Jimmy Neutron), Arlene Klasky/Gabor Csupo & Paul Germain (Rugrats, Aaah! Real Monsters!), Jhonen Vasquez (Invader Zim), Craig Bartlett (Hey Arnold!), John Kricfalusi (The Ren & Stimpy Show), Joe Murray (Rocko’s Modern Life), Butch Hartman (The Fairly Odd Parents), Kevin Eastman, and Peter Laird (TMNT).

Below was my first approach. Created with Woodcraft paint markers, then scanned in to compile digitally in photoshop. The show Hey Arnold! had an urban feel to it and I wanted to revisit my graffitti roots with the overall styling. I had a feeling that the other artists on the project would be doing all digital pieces, so I chose to make my look stand out by doing most of the work by hand.

The poster series was accompanied by a sticker set which used some of the elements from our poster designs. Notice my take on the "Hey Arnold" tag to the left.
Also with the sticker set came a mini version of the posters as postcards. The show creator's info and image were printed on the back of each one.
