I was recently commissioned to create a birth announcement card with a custom-made illustration of their family ;
I had never drawn in the requested style before (I tend to draw more from observation), and creating a resemblance while staying in a cartoon-style isn't easy at first. For the colors, I was asked to use mainly pink with a "dash" of yellow and green - I decided to tie it all together in a tricolor berry branch.
I love working on projects like these : a personal request for a personalized result.
I was asked to do a second version with long hair - this is the version she chose,
but I personally prefer the hair-bun version.
