Function Mist ( ) Happening

"I had a dream of magenta coloured clouds. Rushing and Gushing. Are they going somewhere? What is the rush? It feels like something is going to happen.

It did."

Title : Function Mist () Happening
Artist : Yanzer Lee
Medium : Digital
Year : 2010

Background :
"Happening " is one of Lee's masterpiece at my peak of my journey of Generative Art.
Coded with Action Script 2.0, using a variant of Function Mist (). This effect was created when Lee ran the script thru a postscript function, in which crashes the system. This is the result.

This piece is one and only piece as it cannot be reproduced via even the same code as its impossible to generate the same result because this is as mentioned, a combination of code calculation, error and system crash.

Definitions :
Function Mist () is an assembly codes, written by Yanzer Lee with the purpose of self expression, experimentation and for the pure love of Art and Coding.

Generative art refers to art that in whole or in part has been created with the use of an autonomous system. An autonomous system in this context is generally one that is non-human and can independently determine features of an artwork that would otherwise require decisions made directly by the artist.

PostScript is a page description language in the electronic publishing and desktop publishing business. It is a dynamically typed, concatenative programming language. It was created at Adobe Systems by John Warnock, Charles Geschke, Doug Brotz, Ed Taft and Bill Paxton from 1982 to 1984.
