"How can healthcare and physical activities overlap to improve the functionality of mental health facilities?” 

The proposed wellness center is a physically interactive space where young adults, ages 18-24, can feel safe to come, to improve their wellbeing with a wide range of activities that focus on activating and healing the mind and body holistically. This center aims to engage the local community with events within the space in order to promote the acceptance of healthcare and wellness. The proposal reimagines the typically disconnected typologies of healthcare, exercise, work, study, and relaxation to create an effective space for young adults. The proposal´s design strategy employs the creation of a “bodyscape” as a connector of all the various programs and microenvironments.
