Food For Thought (FFT) is a local NGO, which acts as an intermediary between NGOs that need funding, and the public who donate. They do this through the medium of food. Food For Thought works with partner restaurants that ask patrons to donate 1% of the cost of their meal to Food For Thought when they settle their bill. They also host fundraisers where top chefs provide the meals, venue and their expertise at no charge, and tickets go towards the fund.
Food 4 Thought
The brief was to do a rebranding of Food For Thought, starting off with a logo and then coming up with four contact points to show how we can improve what they already have and also have a new take on the 1 percent donation. We needed to look at who we are targeting and how to solve the existing problems that they already have.
My concept was for Food For Thought to have their own range of products in stores. When people purchase these products, money automatically gets donated to the organization, being Untombo.
Umthombo Street Children is a dynamic KZN-based organisation that empowers street children.

I designed a new logo for Food 4 Thought, that is simpler and more modern as well as suitable. My executions are a website, miniature brochure, Counter display stand and a packaged bottle of the sauce.

The label is doodles drawn by children, this is a quirky and fun take on design but is also more personal to the children of Untombo.
Range of Sauces

My idea is all about marketing a new range, it’s something that you can take away with you. These are signature sauces designed by head chefs that are part of Food For Thought restaurants. The chefs and restaurants get recognition and Food For Thought gets credibility.
The counter display stand, will be found on restaurant counters as well as in delis.
