Ao participar do Desafio Kimura 2021, fomos convidados a criar a identidade visual da Nova República de Star Wars. Nesse projeto busquei resgatar a essência de cada fase da mesma, unindo elementos visuais e representativos para formar o novo símbolo. O objetivo do projeto é transmitir o início de uma nova era, unindo o conhecimento do passado com a força e determinação do presente.

By participating in the Kimura 2021 Challenge, we were invited to create the visual identity of the New Star Wars Republic. In this project I sought to rescue the essence of each phase of the same, uniting visual and representative elements to form the new symbol. The aim of the project is to convey the beginning of a new era, combining knowledge of the past with the strength and determination of the present.

Buscando unir a essência do passado com a força do presente, a nova identidade visual da República tem como seguinte pilares: o uso de formas circulares, movimentos orgânicos (presentes nas marcas antigas da Antiga e
Velha República) e força da Aliança Rebelde que retomou o controle e a ordem perante ao Império. Recriando assim,
o símbolo central tão presente na Aliança Rebelde e lembrando também as naves X-Wings utilizadas pelos mesmos
em batalha.

Seeking to unite the essence of the past with the strength of the present, the new visual identity of the Republic
has the following pillars: the use of circular shapes, organic movements (present in the ancient marks of the Old and
Old Republic) and the strength of the Rebel Alliance that took over the control and order before the Empire.
Thus recreating the central symbol so present in the Rebel Alliance and also remembering the X-Wings ships used by them in battle.
