Sperlari - A sweeter world

Sperlari is an Italian brand specialized in the production of candies,

nougats, mustard and sweeteners.

In 2021, they are launching a revolutionary product:

a new range of jellies, all created without animal gelatin.

A delicious candy without animal gelatin is great news for parents.

But for kids? Not so much.

In telling them such dark and complex themes in a fun way, we decided to use a far more familiar medium: a song.

In the commercial we tell the story of a young girl who, ukulele in her hands, sings a song about a magical "animal gelatin free world” featuring her animal besties (pigs, cows, sharks... even crocodiles and dinosaurs). The film is set in the imaginary Sperlari’s farm, where jellies are created in accordance with Nature.

We built the set and the animal characters from scratch, animating them later with a stop motion technique. That’s why every character came with movable "joints" and with a set of interchangeable expressions.

We recorded a full edit of the song as well, where we explored all the themes and pluses of our new product (no animal gelatin nor preservatives, recyclable paper packaging, sea & forests preservation), always keeping our joyful tone of voice.
