Based on my research and observation, in daily life, people rarely buy and look at a large map of a country. Even tourists do not necessarily buy a map of the whole country to decide which city they want to visit. People can get knowledge of geography from maps, but little else. So, I wanted to put Chinese culture on the map, to make a map that had never been made before. In my opinion, If I want foreigners to like a country, I think it’s important to show our culture. It’s not just the beautiful scenery that impress people, and the culture behind it. So, I wanted to combine Chinese culture, ink style and China’s famous sight spots, to create an unusual map. I really enjoyed doing this project by using what I know and what I love of my country and present them on the screen.
