ABANDONED 5 - FORGOTTEN BURNED FARM

FORGOTTEN BURNED FARM
———————————————————
ABANDONED 5

I’ve been driving past this old building since I was a kid. It is not a real road, more a hiking trail that connects two villages, closed to cars. In the middle of nowhere on a small mountain behind many old trees this small farm looks out. My mother has always forbidden me to go there, for which I am very grateful in hindsight (reason follows). This farm has been empty for over 60 years, according to my parents. Unfortunately, there was a fire there 5 years ago. Nevertheless, I decided to take a closer look at this building, unfortunately only with mobile phone photos.

As a child, I never really paid much attention to this building, I was more afraid of it. I think if I’d gone there as a kid, I’d have turned right back. When I entered the premises, I felt a little different. All the doors and windows were open, there was 4-5 small smudges and everything was ransacked. Windows and doors creaked in the wind and the building looked like it was going to fall down any moment. I definitely didn’t want to go in anymore. In addition, the rear building was half burned down. The house looked like it was from a horror movie. In the front was a kind of barn, in the background was the main house. I walked towards the barn and followed a sprayed arrow that led me behind the building.

There was a lot of garbage behind the building. Fortunately, I always looked on the ground, almost 3 meters next to the footpath was a fountain. He was only looking at a good 5 cm from the ground and probably went 10 meters deep into the ground. If you fall in there, it’s over. I continued to follow the arrows on the ground and then stood behind the barn. In front of me lay a tombstone which I do not show here for data protection reasons. The person, presumably the owner, had died in 1961. I don’t know if he was buried on the property.
The arrows led to a back entrance into the banknotes, which I also did not want to enter.
I glowed in, quickly took pictures and went back to the front.
Now I wanted to see the main house. When I looked closer, I realized that a kind of shed was built next to the house and that it must have burned down. The house itself still looked in a relatively good condition. I still didn’t want to enter it. You never know.
Here are some shots through the windows

that they capture a moment
that’s gone forever
and that you can’t possibly reproduce."
