GO-GO CLUBS SCAM - information/warning campaign

For a long time, in many Polish cities that attract large amounts of tourists, there has been a serious problem related to financial frauds in go-go clubs. The problem elevated to such an extent, that foreign media and embassies got involved in cases of deceived clients.
In the begging of the year, i've been asked to design information object(cubes) which will warn from scam and describe those already had happened. The city authorities also wanted key visuals possibly expanded to the campaign in the future.

The inspiration for such a visual language came from adult comic books of 30 and 40s, and its color key derived directly from go-go clubs (bright and eye-catching PINK). My main idea was to create a graphic novel-like story, based on specific references to situations that had happened, and involving attributes related to adult clubs. The goal was to interest and encourage an audience to read the information, without imposing any stigma or judgment.

From the city's perspective, authorities wanted the cubes to be as visible and interesting as possible, yet not obscene. Additionally, they were supposed to contain articles from the Swedish press (in Polish and English), warning messages from the Swedish embassy and the city of Sopot, and also information on the highest amount of money for which a go-go club client was scammed.

The whole action had gained quite a lot of attention in the media and the press, as practically on the second day after its beginning, most of the cubes were destroyed or damaged by people associated with the clubs. The campaign was expanded to include leaflets and a website for reporting frauds, which currently is under construction.

You can see more about the entire action in the following TVN24 material:
