Hey-o! I'm Ana Araneta, and this is my design portfolio from 2016, which I am uploading as a sort of summary of my college work ✨
First off... this pixel plate from Techniques class that I enjoyed so much I did a second piece on my own time hahaha! Do you recognize the actress? Lifted the photos from a fashion magazine.
Figure drawing. Nude model during her break and my classmate. Chalk pastel and charcoal on paper.
Paper illustration. Left piece based on Tight Times, the children's storybook by Jeanette C. Patindol; on the right a tribute to my HS professor who passed away.
Top: book cover for a plate where the students are given a song to react to visually
Bottom: event pubmats for my college org (the pictures are mine haha that's not stock!)
Internship output:
• Intro card for a youtube show they were cooking up
• Thumbnail covers for the company website
• Packaging stickers that are either labels or quality seals
Introduction video for the same internship company. They shot a singer sort of rapping/freestyling the introductory verses in a dark room, with plenty of headspace. Our task was to make doodles for someone else to animate into the negative space. Adobe Illustrator. My first time using a pentab.

Lost the files for these, which explains the patchy background... sorry!
Hope Comes, illustrations for a church presentation on Revelation 12:1-9. It was used in a sort of animated presentation with a voiceover. I am hoping to animate it based on my storyboard as well.
I tried to digipaint a few times. Keyword tried. On the left is a plate made in response to Italo Calvino's The Distance of the Moon, featuring the last paragraph (haha spoiler) and on the right is a little doodle depicting my day's mood. I was thinking about the book of Revelation, to which the Bible in the picture is ajar.
A collection of branding collaterals, clockwise from bottom left:
• Tela at Tali (Cloth and Rope) - logo and flyer (with knots and care instructions) for a friend's hammock brand
• D+H - illustration for a friend's wedding invitations, but I will only share the monogram for privacy reasons
• Simply 25 - logotype for a 25th anniversary concert
• Francisco Arcellana centennial "logo" - Arcellana is a Philippine National Artist, and for his 100th birthday the Arcellana family put together a tribute event. I made five studies, putting together illustrative portraits and tracings of his signature. The family chose the middle study and applied it to the collaterals and souvenir merch of the event.
Poster studies for a sort of culminating/fundraiser show of the UP Dance Company. This series was not used.
To sing a Psalm is to have prayed twice. Played with stained glass imagery for these recital collaterals. Digital illustration.
Clockwise from left: physical poster, online poster, souvenir programme cover, and socmed cover photo
Four siblings find themselves in a world born from their little daydreams. Four posters that I made for a contemporary dance recital entitled Mga Munting Hiraya (Little Daydreams). Watercolor illustrations of the lead dancers complemented with digital doodles depict their characters' imaginary personas. The physical illustrations were gifted to key collaborators of the show.
