A graduation project with a given theme Silence / Reduction. It involves an analogue spamfilter that reduces advertisements in a public environment. From my research I concluded that we are confronted with some 1500 advertisements per day through for example tv-commercials, internet banners and advertisements in public places. For some of these there are filters and blockers but for the public environment this has not as yet been properly addressed. This is the reason why I designed a portable spamfilter for use in the street. My product is a poster that displays the scenery behind the billboard. The poster is produced by the laser cutter, which cuts small dots and stripes in paper to form the background image. This creates a transparent image that filters the advertisement and lets you see the background.
