Hi-Cu acoustic amplifier

The Hi-Cu passive amplifier design came 1st in the National www.rx3.ie ​"trash to cash" product design competition. The aim of which is to create new products from other companies waste streams.
The amplifiers materials are sourced from discarded pallets that would otherwise have ended up in landfill.

The Hi-Cu amp increases the sound from your iPhone by 10 db and creates a warmer crisper sound allowing the user to enjoy their music where ever they are without the need for electricity.

​Material:
Reclaimed pine wood from industrial pallets that have reached the end of their working life

Manufacturing:
The timber is shaped using a laser cutter, the 36 degree bevel is then formed using a surface planer.
The amplifier is then hand sanded and finished with tung oil.
