Maleficient, 3D Modelling

Maleficent is my first 3D model, I have a lot of affection for her, as it took countless hours until I achieved the desired look.
I try very hard to achieve not only an appearance similar to the reference, but also to give personality to the characters that I draw or model. It was clear to her that she did not want a perfect, expressionless face.
When looking for a face that could serve as a basis for starting my model, a question assailed my head: If I could choose an actress to play the role of Maleficent in real life, who would it be? The answer was clear and immediate: María Felix, La Doña, one of the most popular actresses in 20th century Latin American cinema.
My goal from then on was to achieve a stylized version that combined the reference that we all know of the Disney classic film together with the face of the temperamental Mexican actress.
This is the model in its early stages, every slight change was one more step towards the desired result.Later I gradually added the details that would help me shape the character until I achieved this that you see here:
The next thing was to do some colour tests on the model. Both modelling and painting were done in ZBrush.
Below I show you a video in which we can see how it was after a basic painting.
