Internship work [1] - SRDAN DINCIC (Stand up comedian)
Comedy Night poster
Date: March 10th - April 12
In this project (which was a major one) we were tasked with creating a poster for and upcoming Stand up - comedy night performance by a famous Serbian Comedian called Srdan Dincic. Aside from the poster, conceptualizing ticket designs was also required in order to brainstorm as many ideas as possible. This was the result.
The venue:
Initial designs - during this stage I was trying to experiment with the different effects of color within a poster - as we were tasked to understand color theory and the themes it may convey on the viewer. Additionally, I was also trying to incorporate hints of his identity (hence the Serbian monument vectors in the back).
After multiple feedback sessions with the manager, the design started to take shape into a much less noisy but nonetheless rich and informative design. By developing a better understanding of typefaces, colors and space through a number of experimentations. This was the design I reached at. One of the most challenging aspects to this was to display all required information on the poster but also maintain some breathing-room for a nicer aesthetic to the viewer and making elements of the poster proportional to their importance for a viewer hunting for the information they need to see.
These were the designs I devised for the concert tickets - General Admission, SA and VIP
