Emotive desk is a desk for your home office. It makes you feel closer to your loved ones even when they are far away.
After Collecting insights from primary as well as secondary research concepting began keeping in mind the needs of the user. Some tools used for primary research included observation, interviews as well as experience simulation and sensory cue. Some tools used for secondary research included social media scan, Key fact matrix, convergence map and user journey maps.
After finalizing the concept, it was time to make the design come to life. It was important to give the concept a unique visual Identity that would give it character. To get to that tools such as Design Language Strategy (Visual Brand Language) were used. These steps were simultaneously taking place while thinking about the manufacturability of the product that can make it for the real world.
It was important that the surfaces of the desk followed all the design guidelines that were previously determined. In the next crucial step of CAD, the key was to carry forward the same design language from the sketches. Some tools that were used to make this easier were zebra analysis and curve analysis in Rhino.
