Puma Internship Project 2020 mentored by Neli Ernst (Senior Footwear Designer, Sportstyle Prime) and Romain Girard (Senior Head of Innovation at Puma).
High school athletes are the future of this sport and NBA. There is a broader scope of experimentation in terms of performance and building brand heat.
Below are some physical experiments made during the design process to test the functionality, fit and aesthetic composition of the RS-FUTR.
These experiments required various tools and techniques like packaging material, hot glue, clay and 3D printing. Shout out to the Puma innovation team for support with 3D printing.
RS-FUTR is a playful, sustainable take on the future of Puma Hoops. Deep-rooted in the iconic Puma-RS lineage, this shoe makes its presence felt with textures layered on textures.
Blender was the go-to tool for all 3D modelling, texturing and CMF.
Which helped achieve a desirable 3D print and also exploring new CMF workflows through nodes/procedural texturing.
