In China, the LGBTQ community faces heavy media censorship. On Pride day, Shanghai Pride turning the city’s clotheslines into our proudest expression. We brought together the LGBTQ community in solidarity, getting them to Raise Their Pride in plain sight.

In August 2020, 2 months after Pride Day, Shanghai-Pride was abruptly forced to shut down. Till today, we have no explanation on the crackdown. As I am based in Shanghai, I think I should just shut up.
