Form and Function

Different perspectives.

A collection of architectural sketches and drawings exploring alternative forms, styles, and patterns within architecture. Particularly focusing on my personal artistic intention of mixing abstract art, free flowing shapes, and functionality with architecture. Additionally inspiration from nature has been used to further integrate architecture in our natural environments. New styles and designs a offer a new aesthetic into our urban landscapes that breaks free from traditional architecture and offers stimulating environments of creativity and artistic freedom, while integrating with their original contexts.
Urban living concept ‘Tropicalia’ aims to fuse art into our urban environments to provide innovative and stimulating living environments that break free from our conventional aesthetics and offer a brighter and more artistic outlook of our cities.
The above images represent a series of ideations for the redesign of a Singaporean school. The redesign aims to revitalize and enhance the existing spaces by creating new areas for students, staff, and visitors to sit, eat, and socialize that are dynamic and inclusive. The new spaces emphasize the natural environment of the school and introduce a certain artistic element and personal style.
The above are a series of architectural sketches exploring form, pattern and color, and how abstract artistic styles can be fused into architecture to create a new and innovative aesthetic of an almost ‘crazy’ style to break free from the ‘boring’ and typical conventions and limitations of today’s buildings.
